Affectionately known as the ‘Gentleman’s Skiff’, this exciting new design by Mark Mills is sure to take the performance Day Sailor class by storm. This all-carbon sports boat weighs in at 1100kgs and coupled with the additional righting moment that the extendable hiking racks offer, this is a fast and fun option for anyone looking to get into the performance day sailor class.

The Cayman 28 is all about high performance sailing with friends and this boat really achieves that. The boat can be launched in minutes, small lightweight sails that can be hoisted in seconds and is easy to control being only 28 feet long. The simple and easy deck layout combined with the adjustable racks and keel position mean that a fully experienced crew is not required to reach exciting speeds with friends. This exciting day sailing doesn’t come at a cost as the sliding racks allow the crew to face inwards on a solid feeling platform to be comfortable and safe while enjoying the speed the additional righting brings.

The simple no-backstay rig is adjusted with underdeck forestay and jib tack purchases, relying on the pin-adjustable shrouds to make rig setup easy and repeatable. The boat is supplied with an Axxon, deck-stepped, two spreader mast with rod rigging. The boat also comes with a fix carbon composite bowsprit with bobstay that is removable for transportation in a 40ft container.
